If you are looking for a magic pill that will make your restaurant the next hot ticket, then you are doing it wrong.
Having a successful restaurant is work – hard work at that. You always have to be learning, strategizing, managing. You always have to be striving to put out the best possible product. This requires having great ideas and even more importantly, great execution.
I always like to say: “In business, ideas are 80% of the equation and execution is the other 40%.” Okay, I realize that’s 120%. There’s the joke because it takes 120% effort to get something done in business. Coming up with the ideas is a huge part of it, don’t get me wrong, and I’m sure you have great ideas. But ideas without execution are wasted ideas. You see, as General Powell so elegantly put it, success is the “result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”
How have you prepared for the success you desire?
How hard are you working (on the right things) for the success you desire?
Are you learning from failure (and struggle) and adjusting your strategy, or just complaining about it?

Action Step:
Find one thing that frustrates you, something you complain about or something that even enrages your temper. Then do one thing to improve it – one tiny thing. It could be as simple as a chart with 3 pictures of your chicken tenders demonstrating for your employees: TOO DARK, PERFECT, and TOO LIGHT.
