“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” – Nelson Mandela
Our struggles are real. I get that. But sometimes we get so caught up in the struggle, we seem to discount the fact that there’s not only a way to do it, but that quite likely, someone else is probably already doing it.
Back in ‘54 running a 4 minute mile was unheard of – people struggled to hit that impossible victory. During an amateur track meet, Roger Bannister set the record by 6 tenths of a second. Great run, right? 2 months later, the record was smashed by 2 runners at the Commonwealth games. Not only that, the 4 minute mile is now the standard for male athletes.
What’s that got to do with your restaurant? Dude, there are people who are busting through the struggles you’re having right now and that’s their new standard. Find them, pick their brain, hire them.
Action STEP:
What’s the one thing you’re constantly struggling with? Do some research and find someone who’s overcome that struggle, then ask them how they did it or hire them to help you break the barrier.
