How To Manage a Restaurant: Develop Your Team

People can’t be managed. But, you can develop them and start building the team of your dreams!
Management and leadership are not the same. I like to think of development as the leadership side of restaurant management. Managers should be leading their team. They should be doing the things that help their team be the best that they can be at their job. On the other hand, systems are what should be controlling the day-to-day, step-by-step processes and tasks. Because, as I always say, you should Manage Systems, Develop People.
